Why Fitness?

I believe we become better individuals through sharing whether that be through information, lending a helping hand, or just being a kind person through everyday life. It is important to build off each other’s successes to better ourselves as a society. We all impact each other and we don’t even realize it sometimes. That being said I am here to share information through my knowledge in sports medicine, experiences, research, and also experiments I will be conducting.
Now I will be honest I am not much of a writer, I never liked writing going all the back to grade school, but I embrace challenges and opportunity because you learn from them. I want to learn just as much from this experience as you guys! I could not be more excited about the future.
Me? I’ll be honest I do have a tough time talking about myself and I think that will be the toughest part about this whole experience but I think its only fair to put it all out on the table. I am a 24-year-old male, recently certified as a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) personal trainer and planning on becoming a certified nutritionist. I wanted to get into the health industry because I truly believe being healthy physically, without a doubt, strongly impacts or can improve your mental health.
In September of 2018, I had a tumor removed from my brain to stop me from having seizures. Before that, I was down because I was very limited in my work options and exercise because I wasn’t able to drive and my memory wasn’t the best because of the seizures. Getting back in the swing of things a few months after the surgery which means being able to work out again and focus on my health has helped me stay level headed. For the longest time I was down about not being able to move forward in life and I blamed myself most of the time because ill be honest I squashed a lot of opportunities given to me even before my surgery but after I gained a whole new perspective, to be honest, it changed me. I look forward to my future because I feel as if I’ve been given another opportunity to do something with my life. Things that “bring you down” can often give you a new outlook or perspective you just have to find a way to put your spin on things and make it your own story no matter what’s in your way, you will find a better more prosperous way.
I plan on having research, ideas, opinions, and experiences about health and fitness on my blog. Something for everyone, whether you are just getting into working out and need guidance or even if you’ve been doing well with your fitness and find the health/fitness industry as interesting as I do. I want to make this page interesting and engaging for everyone. If you have any topics that you find interesting, just want to read a discussion about it, or even need help meeting your fitness goals email me at Letsgetfit4u@gmail.com. Thank you for being involved and remember, “If not now then when?!”
